The client for this project was an importer and retailer of electrical products. Their brief was to provide a low cost showroom, warehouse and office facility that reflected their products. The company’s principal was also a keen collector of antiques.

The design concept was based on the appearance of an art deco desk radio, with its curved façade and glossy trimmings. Construction involved a pre-cast concrete façade and steel portal frame structure, enabling the building works to be completed and the project opened in five months.
