CKA has strong commitment to social purpose housing and works extensively on DFFH, NDIS and Robust Housing projects. The Federal Government’s NDIS program provides the opportunity for housing that allows for people with high complex physical needs to have the level of support they require whilst living as independently as possible. Currently, many of these young Australians are limited to aged care facilities, with inadequate numbers of facilities tailored to their needs. This highlighted the importance of young people with disabilities being given the opportunity to have housing which allowed them to live as equal citizens within communities.
